I am a self taught artist who has been working with beads for over five years. The technique used in my work is ‘bead weaving’. I use traditional forms of ‘bead weaving’ originating from Africa, Japan and North America, and worked creatively to develop my own contemporary style.

Bead weaving is an off-loom technique which essentially makes a beaded fabric using a number of weaving stitches. Examples of the some of the stitches are peyote, right angle weave, and Ndebele. Challenging the limits of the medium and technique is the main source of my inspiration; colors and textures are distinctive of my signature pieces.

I have lived in the Brazos Valley for over ten years and regularly exhibit my work locally. Thank you for visiting my website.
